Scorecrypt Acceptable Use Policy

These rules are the most important ones here. They apply to every adult with access to the Services, and they are not negotiable.

You must not:

• Contact a minor athlete privately, or move a conversation with a minor to a channel where their guardian cannot see it
• Ask a minor for personal contact information, or give them yours for use outside the Services
• Circumvent, disable, or attempt to defeat any athlete-safety control the Services provide, including guardian copying of messages
• Bully, harass, intimidate, groom, exploit, or endanger anyone, and never a minor
• Use the Services to arrange contact with a minor outside the scope of their program's activities

You must: comply with the athlete-safety rules that already apply to you, including the U.S. Center for SafeSport's Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies and the rules of your state association and governing bodies. This policy does not replace those rules and does not lower any of their requirements.

If you become aware of conduct that endangers a minor, report it. Contact us using the details in section 8, and report it to the authorities and your governing body where you are required to. Do not wait to see whether it resolves itself.

Other people rely on what you enter. A guardian's consent, an athlete's eligibility, and an opponent's competition record all depend on it being true.

You must not:

• Enter an email address as an athlete's guardian unless you believe it belongs to that athlete's parent or legal guardian. Never enter your own address, a colleague's, or a placeholder in a guardian's place. Doing this defeats parental consent entirely and is the most serious data violation possible on this platform.
• Add an athlete you are not authorized by their program to add
• Enter or alter a date of birth, weight, weigh-in result, or eligibility status that you know to be inaccurate
• Record a competition result you know to be false, including one involving an athlete from another program
• Create fictitious athletes, teams, programs, or accounts

You must correct information you know to be wrong, and tell us if you cannot.

A Scorecrypt account can reach information about children. Who holds it matters.

You must not:

• Share your password or let anyone else use your account
• Use anyone else's account, or access the Services with credentials that are not yours
• Keep access after you leave a program, or use access granted for one program to reach another

You must: give every person who needs access their own account, and tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised. Sharing a credential removes any ability to tell who did what, which matters most in exactly the situations where it matters most.

You must not:

• Record where recording is not permitted by the venue, the event, or your governing body
• Upload video or images of athletes from a program you do not belong to, unless the Services provide for it
• Publish or share video or images of a minor outside the Services without the consent required by law and by our Children's Privacy Notice
• Use anyone's name, image, or likeness for advertising or commercial purposes

Where Scorecrypt provides weight features, they monitor recorded weight against published guidelines and flag possible problems. They are not a plan, they are not medical advice, and they do not make eligibility determinations.

You must not use them to plan, encourage, direct, or conceal weight loss that breaks your governing body's weight-management rules or that puts an athlete's health at risk. Responsibility for an athlete's safety stays with their coaches, their guardians, and the qualified professionals advising them.

You must not:

• Submit content that is unlawful, harassing, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes someone else's rights
• Upload malware, or attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to reach
• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract information from the Services, and never information about athletes
• Reverse engineer or attempt to derive the source code of the Services, except where that restriction is prohibited by law
• Resell the Services, or give access to anyone outside your program
• Interfere with the operation, integrity, or security of the Services, or with anyone else's use of them
• Use the Services in a way that breaks the law or the rules of a governing body that applies to you

We may remove content, restrict features, suspend an account, or terminate access. Where the safety of a person is at risk, we may act immediately and without notice.

Where appropriate, and where the law permits or requires it, we may notify a program administrator, a guardian, a governing body, or the authorities.

Nothing here limits any other right we have under the Terms of Service.

If a child may be in danger, contact your local emergency services and the U.S. Center for SafeSport first. Then tell us.
